Getting started with a

Home Care Package is simple

In just four simple steps, you can access government-funded support tailored to help you live independently and comfortably in your own home.

If you’re enquiring on behalf of someone else, make sure they provide their consent before calling.

Identify your needs

An Aged Care Assessment Team (ACAT) professional will visit you at home to understand your needs and recommend the best support options.

With your consent, they’ll assess your situation and determine your eligibility for services tailored to you.

Following your assessment

My Aged Care will send you an approval letter confirming your eligibility.

Once approved, you’ll be added to the National Waitlist and notified by mail when a Home Care Package becomes available.

Receive your package and start services

You’ll receive a letter from My Aged Care confirming that your Home Care Package has been assigned.

This means your funding is ready, and you can choose a service provider, like Omnicare, to start your services.
